Students Cyber Bullying workshop

On February 14th, Y6 & Middle School students will partecipate to a Cyber Security and Cyber Bullying workshop.

Many of the topics introduced to parents in September and to teachers during October’s Inset Day, will be addressed.

As the 5th of February was the European Safer Internet Day, miss De Paolis from SFIS will discuss a checklist for managing students online reputation along with cyber bullying.

Topics being addressed:

• how anonymous posting is dealt with;
• how students can avoid putting too much information online that may lead them to be an easy target;
• how easily photos can go viral and what children can do to defend themselves if they are targeted by cyber bullies.
• Clear steps will be outlined on how someone may report problems to the websites, social networks, messaging apps and mobile phone operators or ultimately the authorities.
