Climate Change Protest!

Today, the 15th March, 2019, I took Middle School students to take part in the biggest worldwide protest against Climate Change. #FridaysForFuture is a worldwide phenomenon, which calls on students to strike from school in response to Greta Thunberg’s famous protest against climate change. We created our own personal sign as seen in the photos (thank you, Mr Justin for help with the design) and took to the streets of Rome to highlight the message being spread – schools are teaching this; yet, governments are doing nothing.

We even used recyclable material to make our sign 🙂

The protest was amazing, very joyful and very peaceful. Our sign was very popular and everyone passing by us took photos of it. Channel 7, yes that’s right, Channel 7 took a close up video shot of the students and the sign so make sure you look out for us!

Myself, Mr Brad and the students had an amazing day and it was wonderful to be able to show the students how much this topic means to the entire world. This is not just a topic in a geography book – this is a topic for our entire planet.
