Plastic reduction campaign

  • Posted by Stephen Gale

  • Date September 9, 2019

This year Acorn House is running a campaign to reduce plastic within the school. We need to raise awareness regarding the environmental problems brought on by our growing need of plastic. It is simply too difficult to dispose of and recycling is not a guarantee that it will be recycled properly. At Acorn House, we are introducing ways to reduce our use of plastic. We assessed ourselves last year as you can see in the following online slide. Level 1 is high level use and level 4 is low level use. It is a rather sobering process, however we are ready to face the challenges and we need the parents involved too! Updates will be provided throughout the year. For now, have a quick glance through the presentation and find out where we are on the level scale at the end.
